Green action 1:Reduce waste and our impact on the environment

Remanufacturing means respect.
All ARMOR remanufactured cartridges are made from empty collected cartridges.Result: less waste is generated!
− 60% less CO2 emitted*,
− more than 30% of energy saved**.

* compared to the amount of CO2 generated by the production of original LASER cartridges.
** compared to the amount of energy used to produce original LASER cartridges.
 

Green action 2: Produce more cleanly

− ISO 14001 certification for ARMOR’s central distribution site.
− a clean production cycle: challenge met by ARMOR’s LASER cartridge production site,which from 2008 will be submitted to an ISO 14001 certification process.
 

Green action 3:Collect used cartridges in a responsible way

The ARMOR solution: select «local» partners in order to limit the distances covered.

A freephone number for collection support

ARMOR’s freephone number is adding a collection support role to its technical role for all customers and users in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Unuseable cartridges that are collected are dealt with by our partners whom operate a management system in line with ISO 14001.

Recycling of waste coming from production: the number 1 priority for ARMOR

Dismantling – Recovering
Whenever cartridges are not remanufactured, they follow an innovative recycling process that takes them through full dismantlement to the recovery of different products, via specialist channels.
Result: toners, aluminium, plastics, iron...
All cartridge materials that are not re-used by us are recovered.

No landfill, no export, no incineration
In concrete terms, it is possible to recycle all materials!

ARMOR undertakes never to bury its non-remanufactured cartridges
in landfill sites.

 

ARMOR supports the actions of Clean Up the World

Clean Up the World is a not-for-profit, non-government, environmental organisation that unites communities with a common focus to clean up, fix up and conserve their local environment. An estimated 35 million volunteers in over 110 countries participate in the Clean Up the World Campaign each year undertaking a variety of initiatives including waste removal and recycling, tree planting, water and energy conservation. Groups in any city, town or village across the globe can get involved in Clean Up the World by simply registering as a participant.

Our climate, our actions, our future

The Australian founder of the global Clean Up the World campaign Ian Kiernan AO, is joined by children from Rouse Hill Public School in Sydney, Australia to ask the world to take urgent action to limit the impacts of climate change. The children represent the 650 plus community groups from 115 countries that helped tackle the causes of climate change, highlighted over the 15th Clean Up the World Weekend on September 14-16, 2007.
