Consumables ARMOR

Inkjet Process

For Canon & Epson

The Armor group fully controls the whole design and manufacturing process for the inkjet range. Armor cartridges for Canon and Epson are 100% new, including the chips! Our total control over the development and manufacture of inks, cartridges, filling, chip technology, quality control and packaging enables us to guarantee optimum quality.

Ink development and manufacture

Over 50 tests are required to develop an ink, measuring in particular:
- The ink's physical and chemical properties: viscosity, wettability (surface tension, contact angle), conductivity, solid content, particle size, etc.
- Print properties: photo realistic image rendering, colour spectrum, water / UV radiation / friction resistance, drying time, character definition, migration, autonomy, curling, etc.

Each cartridge has its own specific ink (Armor has over 100 inkjet formulations): this is the only way of guaranteeing colours and performance levels at the least identical to those of the original cartridge.

Each Armor ink is compatible with the original ink (no chemical reactions between the two) and designed to protect the print head.

Cartridge

Our control of mould design, plastic injection and component assembly allows us to guarantee that our cartridges are perfectly adapted to the machines in which they are used.
Furthermore, Armor is highly involved in patent analysis.

Filling

This is a very important step of the process. The filling method is specific to each cartridge and adapted to the various components of this latter (ink, housing, foam, etc.), and correct operation.

Quality Control

Quality is controlled throughout the process, at each production step. Each production batch is tested by means of typical print runs. All Armor Inkjet cartridges are guaranteed for 2 years.
