ARMOR continues to invest in the development of the ASCA® photovoltaic film

See all news
By 2020, ARMOR strives to increase the lifetime of ASCA® organic photovoltaic films from 5 to 20 years, and to increase the electrical performance of photovoltaic modules by 4 to 8%.
To achieve these objectives, ARMOR has initiated research and development work for the study of new materials used in the composition of barrier films and the various layers of photovoltaic film. Research into the properties of these components is supported by work on the related production processes to ensure transferability to ARMOR's production lines.
As part of these two research projects, ARMOR is working closely with French, European and Canadian partners to identify and test new materials. These materials will then be formulated, coated, encapsulated and tested by ARMOR teams.
These €3.5 million projects are being funded by ARMOR, with the support of the Pays de la Loire Region and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
